Welcome Susie Davis,
At the end of October 2010, Susie began playing with the Gator Beat. I keep thinking “how did this wonderful thing happen?” Well if I did not hang my laundry, it might not have. Welcome Susie Davis,
At the end of October 2010, Susie began playing with the Gator Beat. I keep thinking “how did this wonderful thing happen?” Well if I did not hang my laundry, it might not have. I was hanging clothes and my lodger at the time, musician Tim Eschleman was removing his (from the line). We got to talking and I was saying the Gators were at a gig with a sub on accordion. He said “call Susie next time” and we’ve been calling her ever since. She brings incredible vocals and superb keyboard skills along with that accordion. This is a woman born to perform. Check out susiedavis.com for more info about this terrific lady.

The new cd is hot of the press and baby it is hot. The title song, (written by our man, Willard) LET”S DANCE, starts things off with an energetic zydeco groove, followed by a very cool version of Buckwheat’s hit TROUBLE. From there David Scott and Bruce Gordon take on the mind boggling RIDE ‘EM Cowboy. David and Bruce are spellbinding on this track. Willard tackles Richie’s original JUST AN ANGEL next and bravo, very nice. Bruce backs him up on both button box and piano, really nailing the mood. More about the rest later. For now, I’ve got to get busy getting you some samples. See Ya. If you need a CD, give Ma Gator a shout.
