The Zydeco Flames have gained a reputation as the West Coast's premier Zydeco band. Their fifth CD release, "Bank the Fire was released in 2003, providing fans with hot Zydeco in the tradition of Clifton chenier, Buckwheat Zydeco and Queen Ida.The Flames consistently pack the house in venues ranging from contemporary clubs to major festivals and traditional dancehalls. The sizzling roots rhythms are timeless and the execution of them relentless, with stunninly powerful groove.

The members are:

Lloyd Meadows: rubboard, vocals
Lloyd has a diverse musical background in blues R&B, and jazz. he has performed with Mal sharpe's Big Money, Tom Rigney, and Elvin Bishop, contributing soulful vocals and a contagious livliness.

Frank Bohan: guitar
Chicago blues is where it all began, a perfect background for Zydeco where rhythm guitar is the name of the game. Frank then nails masterful solos, leaving nothing to hope for, because its all there. Frank also served as leader of Freeway Frank and the Hotwires and has played with Johnny Copeland, Alvin Hart, Ricardo Scales and Johnny Nitro.

Timm Walker: bass, vocals
A major talent, Timm has held the rhythm section to the highest standard. Clean, tight, tasty. His resume includes work with Sonny Rhodes and Joe Louis Walker. He also led his own soul-funk band "Winetree" creating a local buzz back in the eighties.

William Allums Jr.: drums
With a background in gospel, hip-hop and funk, this multifaceted player never fails to drive his fans right out of their chairs and on to the dance floor.
